Technical Sales Representative - Food & Feed

About the role

Solevo Nigeria Limited, a distributor of specialty chemicals and raw materials with an extensive African footprint, is looking for a dynamic Technical Sales Representative to develop and grow its Food & Feed business. The role combines technical expertise with strong sales skills to deliver ingredient solutions, build lasting customer relationships and drive sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and expand the Food & Feed customer portfolio and manage relationships with existing customers.
• Achieve sales, revenue and margin targets.
• Identify new business opportunities and market trends.
• Provide technical recommendations, application support, product presentations, demonstrations and trials.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and sales forecasts.
• Coordinate with supply chain and other internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and market intelligence.
• Ensure compliance with EHSQ standards and industry regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agriculture, Nutrition or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, business development or application support within the Food & Feed industry.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Fluent written and verbal English.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of food and feed ingredients and applications.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Nice to have: experience with specialty ingredients, additives, enzymes, preservatives, flavors, nutritional products or feed additives; professional qualification in Sales or Marketing; CRM and ERP experience; knowledge of food and feed regulatory requirements and quality standards.
