Technical Director / Technical Lead

About the role

The Technical Director/Lead will own the technical production of large‑scale events from concept through execution and breakdown. You will shape technical strategy, lead teams, and ensure safety, quality and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical production strategies, detailed plans, drawings and equipment schedules for each event.
• Lead technical rehearsals, live event execution and post‑event breakdowns, acting as the final escalation point.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate costs and oversee mobilisation, installation and demobilisation.
• Prepare and control technical budgets, track expenditures and identify cost‑optimisation opportunities.
• Ensure health, safety and compliance standards are met across all technical domains.
• Lead and develop technical crews, define roles and maintain high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in live events, technical production, broadcast, concerts, theatre or experiential marketing.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale corporate, entertainment or public events.
• Experience managing technical vendors, freelancers, crews and significant budgets.
• Experience with premium brands, corporate clients or major entertainment productions is a plus.
