Team Lead, Institutional Asset Management

About the role

Our client, a leading asset management and securities firm, is seeking a Team Lead for Institutional Asset Management to drive investment strategies, deepen client relationships, and deliver superior outcomes for institutional investors.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor investment strategies for institutional clients, ensuring alignment with objectives and risk profiles.
• Lead client relationship management, delivering customised proposals, presentations and regular portfolio reviews.
• Identify and secure new institutional mandates while expanding existing client engagements.
• Mentor and develop a team of portfolio managers and analysts, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Oversee performance monitoring, reporting and regulatory compliance for client portfolios.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance and legal teams to manage portfolio risks and ensure adherence to regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field (Master’s/CFA/CAIA preferred).
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in institutional asset management or portfolio management.
• Proven track record of managing institutional portfolios and delivering superior investment outcomes.
• Strong understanding of investment products, asset allocation and risk management frameworks.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing high‑performing teams.
