Slickline Operator

About the role

The Slickline Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of slickline equipment on well sites. This role involves handling downhole tools, performing well interventions, and ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain slickline equipment, including winches, wireline units, depth counters, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct slickline operations for running, retrieving, setting, and manipulating downhole tools.
• Rig up and rig down slickline and pressure‑control equipment.
• Perform well‑intervention tasks such as running and pulling plugs, setting and retrieving wireline‑retrievable equipment, and handling gauge cutters, impression blocks, jars, pulling and shifting tools.
• Manipulate sliding sleeves and other completion components.
• Carry out pre‑job inspections, function tests, equipment checks, toolbox talks, and JSA/JHA reviews.
• Follow approved operating procedures, well programs, and client instructions.
• Identify and report equipment defects, operational abnormalities, and HSE hazards.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience operating slickline equipment.
• Minimum SSCE (secondary school) education.
• Senior‑level qualification as indicated in the posting.
