Senior Software Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our distributed team on a contract basis. You will work remotely to design, build, and maintain high‑performance backend systems and cloud‑native applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and backend services.
• Build and optimise RESTful APIs, integrations, and distributed architectures for reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to deliver secure, robust solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, technical strategy, and system design discussions.
• Develop and deploy services across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
• Support DevOps initiatives by enhancing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and improving monitoring.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in software development using modern programming languages.
• Hands‑on experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerisation, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with NLP, large language models, and building AI‑powered or data‑driven systems.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React; frontend experience is a plus.
