Senior Relationship Manager (Oil and Gas)

About the role

We are seeking a senior relationship manager to lead business development across the upstream and downstream oil and gas sector for a leading provider of quality assurance, industrial laboratory, inspection, sustainability, GHG management, and procurement services. The role focuses on securing high‑value contracts, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the company’s footprint in the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies for upstream and downstream oil and gas markets.
• Identify, pursue and win new contracts across quality assurance, inspection, laboratory, sustainability, GHG management and procurement services.
• Build and maintain relationships with operators, refineries, marketers, EPC contractors and other key stakeholders.
• Lead vendor registration, contractor pre‑qualification, tender submissions and proposal development.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and award.
• Grow existing accounts through cross‑selling and upselling.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, procurement opportunities and regulatory changes.
• Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline and produce regular sales forecasts and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with NipeX registration and Nigerian Content requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–8 years of business development, sales or commercial management experience, with at least 3 years in the upstream or downstream oil and gas sector.
• Proven track record of securing high‑value oil and gas contracts.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas procurement processes and contractor pre‑qualification.
