About the role
Plexus is partnering with a team building an institutional settlement rail for stablecoins across Africa. We are looking for a Senior Business Development Lead to drive market intelligence, brand presence and institutional partnerships in Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa.
Key responsibilities
- Gather market intelligence and support brand presence across institutional settlement, FX, crypto capital markets and tokenized treasury use cases.
- Identify and map institutional counterparties and key ecosystem stakeholders.
- Share market insights with the founder and commercial team, and relay inbound regional inquiries.
- Support regional strategy by tracking developments and informing expansion priorities.
Required profile
- 8‑12 years of experience in business development, market expansion or institutional sales within fintech, payments, crypto or financial infrastructure.
- Proven track record of driving institutional revenue and converting accounts into live commercial relationships.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with product, engineering, policy, legal and compliance teams.
- Deep understanding of stablecoin settlement, institutional crypto market structure, FX, custody or institutional financial flows.
- Experience operating across multiple African markets and navigating diverse regulatory and banking environments.
