Screening Agent (Remote)

About the role

This fully remote Screening Agent follows candidates from the first screening call to a confirmed interview with a recruiter. Work comes through candidate lists prepared for phone screening; you ask basic fit questions, record answers and explain what happens next, giving recruiters clear notes and candidates accurate interview details. A recruiting team lead provides the question guide and supports you with unfamiliar situations. The role pays a monthly base salary plus bonus opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Open candidate lists in an applicant tracking system such as Lever and review the basic questions.
• Call applicants through a business phone system such as Aircall, introduce yourself and explain the purpose.
• Ask approved questions about interest, availability, a quiet workspace and spoken English, recording answers without personal judgment.
• Explain the next step using the recruiter's approved information and refer unfamiliar questions to the team lead.
• Mark each candidate as ready, not now or not suitable according to the screening rules.
• Book interviews using a scheduling tool such as Google Calendar, confirm details and send reminders; call candidates who miss their interview and help reschedule.
• Update the applicant tracking system after every call and pass completed notes to the recruiter before the interview.
• Mark wrong numbers, duplicates and withdrawals, keep candidate details private and treat everyone politely.

Required profile

• Professional spoken and written English, as calls are generally with candidates and teams in the United States.
• A computer, a mobile phone, a stable internet connection and reliable electricity.
• No recruiting experience required; phone support, customer service, interview scheduling or similar experience is preferred.
• Calm, friendly phone manner and ability to follow a basic screening guide.
• Willingness to learn the named tools through guided practice, careful entry of data and respect for candidate privacy.
