Sales and Customer Service Representative

About the role

Whip-Smart Service Providers Limited is hiring a full-time Sales and Customer Service Representative in Lagos (Marina). The role combines handling customer enquiries across several channels with promoting and selling fashion, craft and retail products, and can be done remotely and in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to customer enquiries by phone, WhatsApp, social media and other channels, and follow up on them to turn enquiries into sales.
• Promote and sell the company's fashion, craft and retail products to new and existing customers.
• Respond promptly and professionally to questions, complaints and requests, and monitor customer feedback.
• Process orders, confirm payments and coordinate fulfilment and delivery.
• Maintain records of sales transactions, customer interactions and follow-ups, and escalate complaints when needed.
• Provide accurate information on products, pricing, availability and promotions, and keep up with product updates and retail trends.
• Meet assigned sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.

Required profile

• Minimum of an HND in a relevant discipline; previous experience in sales, customer service, telemarketing or retail is an added advantage.
• Ability to convert enquiries into sales and to work with minimal supervision in a hybrid setting.
• Willingness to work Monday to Saturday and meet the required hours.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication, persuasion, negotiation and customer relationship management.
• Good knowledge of WhatsApp Business and social media platforms.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Organisation, attention to detail and multitasking.
