Retail Store Manager (Gadgets) - Abuja

About the role

A global leader in the gadgets industry, offering products, technical support, repairs and customer solutions, is hiring a full-time Store Manager based in Abuja. The role covers customer service, sales, finance, stock, human resources, operations and business plan management, with clear performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service: manage complaints, returns, technical bookings and customer interactions; drive satisfaction scores and mystery shopper results.
• Sales: help achieve sales, revenue, margin and profit targets, coach staff on selling skills and follow up on leads.
• Finance: cash ups, daily banking and reconciliation, petty cash, audit follow-up, discount authorisation and expense control.
• Stock: supply chain input, GRV and stock control, stock take, asset register and stock loss prevention.
• Human resources: recruit, train and retain staff, performance appraisals, incentives and commission, and succession planning.
• Operations: keep the store running smoothly, enforce security and safety policies, maintain SOPs and manage third-party security providers.
• Business plan: contribute to the store plan, control actuals against plan and support forecasting.
• Marketing: uphold branding and merchandising standards and deliver the quarterly marketing plan with weekly events and training.

Required profile

• At least five years of managerial experience in a store or business of similar size.
• Track record in a target-driven environment; highly sales driven.
• Diligent, detail-oriented and committed to improving offline store service levels.
• Willingness to learn ERPs and other business software.
• Firm belief in serving internal and external customers.

Required skills

• Great communication and general administration skills.
• Excellent understanding of Excel.
