Retail Operations Officer

About the role

The Retail Operations Officer will manage day‑to‑day retail activities across an assigned state, ensuring shops, depots and stock points are accurate, compliant and ready to serve customers. Reporting to the Regional Retail Team Lead, you will lead Stock Controllers and Shop Assistants.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of retail shops, depots and stock points to maintain smooth and consistent service.
• Manage stock reconciliations, replenish under‑stocked SKUs and ensure DSRs stay within approved stock levels.
• Coordinate aged stock returns, reallocations, lost phone reporting and enforce reverse‑logistics procedures.
• Handle phone repair logistics to meet agreed service level agreements.
• Lead, coach and train Retail Coordinators, Stock Controllers and Shop Assistants on processes, products, systems and service standards.
• Monitor retail KPIs, conduct regular shop inspections, drive corrective actions and collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Repairs and Customer Service for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in retail operations, logistics, supply chain, inventory management or field operations.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or team‑leadership role.
• Proven track record managing inventory, stock reconciliation, reverse logistics and multi‑location retail operations.

Required skills

• Confidence with retail management systems and inventory tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
