Resident Manager - Luxury Hotel, Lagos

About the role

A full-time Resident Manager is needed for a luxury hotel in Lagos Island (Marina). The role oversees and coordinates most operational departments so that guests receive exceptional service, operations run efficiently and brand standards are met. It works closely with the Operations Manager and Executive Director.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day work between Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Security and Guest Services, keeping everything aligned with brand standards, SOPs and luxury service expectations.
• Keep walkways, rooms and the guest arrival lounge clean, by directing the Head of Housekeeping.
• Monitor daily occupancy, VIP arrivals, group movements and special events, and track guest experience and service quality across departments.
• Watch the taste, quality and speed of food service, and measure SOPs and KPIs for each department.
• Control operational costs, ensure facilities maintenance and enforce health, safety, hygiene and security procedures, including vendor and supplier compliance.
• Handle guest complaints and service recovery, monitor guest feedback and reviews, and welcome VIPs and important guests when appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with hospitality regulations and monitor maintenance, fire safety and emergency preparedness.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel, strictly in Lagos or Abuja brand locations.
• The position is preferred for male candidates, as sleeping over at the hotel is required at least 5 to 4 times per week.
