Remote Biology Expert (PhD)

About the role

Turing is seeking experienced biologists to join its remote team as contract experts. You will apply your PhD‑level knowledge in biology, biotechnology or biochemistry to help shape the next generation of large language models by creating and evaluating rigorous biology benchmarks.

Key responsibilities

• Design advanced, domain‑specific biology questions that test AI performance from undergraduate to PhD level.
• Develop clear, step‑by‑step solutions with rigorous logical reasoning.
• Assess AI‑generated answers for accuracy, depth of reasoning, and scientific soundness.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to refine benchmark datasets and improve model evaluation pipelines.

Required profile

• PhD (completed or in progress) in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities in advanced biological topics.
• Excellent written communication skills for documenting questions, solutions, and feedback.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
