Monitoring and Evaluation Officer – Abuja

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will manage project deliverables, lead reporting and develop strategies for monitoring, evaluation and learning across health‑focused initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with clients, project teams and stakeholders to ensure effective data collection, analysis and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of project monitoring, evaluation and learning strategies.
• Manage project deliverables, reporting and client review processes.
• Organise and facilitate workshops with project teams and stakeholders.
• Develop theory of change, monitoring frameworks and data management strategies.
• Design electronic data collection tools, SOPs and dashboards for performance visualization.
• Track implementation of activities at national and sub‑national levels and synthesize findings for timely decision‑making.

Required profile

• University degree in a STEM field; advanced degree or professional certification is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within health sector consulting.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, evaluation, learning and system‑strengthening initiatives.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and deliver outputs on schedule.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using analytical tools for data analysis and visualization.
