Medical Doctor – Clinical Practice (Abuja)

About the role

The Medical Doctor will join EHA Clinics in Abuja to deliver high‑quality clinical care across telemedicine, clinic consultations and occasional home visits. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and coordination with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telemedicine consultations, discuss laboratory results and manage routine and emergency complaints.
• Take detailed medical histories, perform physical examinations, determine diagnoses and develop treatment plans in line with clinical guidelines.
• Review and act on blood test results, referrals and correspondence, and document all patient interactions accurately.
• Provide clinical instruction to nursing staff, supervise medical and nursing personnel, and assist in training interns or student doctors.
• Occasionally perform home visits for patients enrolled in the Membership Scheme and participate in community health outreach.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD, DO) from a recognized university and registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
• Completed compulsory internship, minimum two years post‑NYSC experience, and up‑to‑date MDCN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong clinical decision‑making skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
