Remote Accountant (U.S. GAAP) – Lagos

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to work remotely from Lagos, supporting a fast‑growing international company. The role focuses on applying U.S. GAAP standards to financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Record journal entries, perform reconciliations, and manage accrual accounting.
• Handle payroll accounting and maintain robust internal controls.
• Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite or Sage.
• Develop and maintain advanced Excel models for analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with U.S. GAAP accounting processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, independent work style and reliable communication in a remote setting.
