Regional Business Development Officer - Lagos & Western Nigeria

About the role

The Regional Business Development Officer will drive referral growth and strategic partnerships for the African Medical Centre of Excellence across Lagos State and the wider Western Nigeria region. The role executes the regional sales strategy by building high‑value referral networks, strengthening clinician and institutional relationships, and delivering measurable growth aligned with the centre’s NCD agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a territory plan for Lagos and Western Nigeria, prospecting and onboarding private clinics, hospitals, diagnostic centres and specialist practices.
• Maintain and grow a portfolio of referring partners, acting as the primary contact and ensuring smooth patient referral processes.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing and new service launches, and provide weekly activity reports and forecasts.
• Manage a hybrid remote/field schedule, balancing virtual outreach with regular in‑person visits across the territory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum three years of B2B field sales experience, preferably in healthcare, pharmaceutical or medical services.
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a commission‑based environment.
• Existing network of doctors, clinics or hospitals in Lagos; experience in other Southwestern states is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
