Quality Control Supervisor

About the role

The Quality Control Supervisor ensures that all equipment testing and post‑maintenance quality checks are completed before green tagging or release to the Asset Coordinator. Reporting to the GeoUnit Reliability and CoSD Manager, the role oversees the test facility, its personnel, and compliance with the Quality Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the test and quality‑control organization, optimizing processes and standardising procedures.
• Oversee tracking, calibration and maintenance of inspection, measurement and test equipment.
• Conduct periodic technical audits, CAT compliance assessments and ensure closure of remedial actions.
• Perform vendor and supplier audits to verify qualification against the Quality Management System.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance asset utilisation, reliability and cost of service delivery.
• Participate in failure investigations and ensure systematic root‑cause resolution.
• Provide quality data books and Certificates of Conformity for products and services delivered to customers.

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc. in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum, Materials/Metallurgy).
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in shop operations within oilfield completions or related disciplines.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Hands‑on competency with completions technologies such as sand‑management services, intelligent completions and liner hangers.
• Knowledge of API, ISO and ASTM standards.
• Experience with maintenance processes, workflows and quality‑control procedures.
• Familiarity with tubulars and related inspection equipment.
