Quality Assurance Analyst

About the role

This Quality Assurance Analyst position covers the laboratory and all processing areas of a food and beverage factory. The role leads quality, food safety, GMP and GLP compliance, lab analysis and process improvement, and supports the Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Shift Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain sanitary conditions in all processing areas and the laboratory, and carry out internal calibration of equipment during the shift.
• Track periodic achievement of quality and food safety objectives and ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, 5S, HACCP and other quality, food safety, occupational health, safety and environment tools.
• Lead data integrity, deviation reports, testing protocols, trend analyses, shelf-life stability studies and validation, and handle non-conforming and potentially unsafe products.
• Reduce non-quality costs such as complaints, market returns and supplier non-conformances, and support process and operations improvement projects.
• Perform all laboratory analysis for water, raw, pack and finished goods, and ensure recipe compliance and adherence to blending plans.
• Document all activities, reports and communications with stakeholders, and lead training on food safety culture.

Required profile

• HND/BSc in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Technology or equivalent; a relevant professional certification is a plus.
• 2-5 years of progressive experience in culinary, food or beverage processing roles.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and excellent relationship skills.
