QA/QC Lab Analyst

About the role

The QA/QC Lab Analyst will support Kenex Konsults International by performing chemical and mud sample testing, ensuring product quality and compliance with specifications. The role acts as the chief chemist for the laboratory, handling inventory, documentation, and safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out laboratory tests on chemicals and mud samples as required.
• Perform blending activities and manage receipt and dispatch of chemicals.
• Conduct physical and chemical analyses of raw materials, in‑process products, and finished oilfield chemicals.
• Verify product conformity with specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and issue Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and laboratory test reports.
• Investigate non‑conformities, participate in root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions (CAPA).
• Maintain laboratory notebooks, worksheets, registers, and electronic records with proper sample identification and traceability.
• Manage Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) and technical documentation.
• Assist R&D activities for new drilling fluid and oilfield chemical formulations.
• Participate in laboratory risk assessments, safety meetings and ensure compliance with HSE policies.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• At least 12 months of experience in a QA/QC laboratory or chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and quality control principles.
• Familiarity with GLP, GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and HACCP standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory documentation systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing abilities with high attention to detail.
