Project Documentation Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Project Documentation Specialist to lead the implementation and maintenance of advanced information management systems for complex capital projects in the oil and gas sector. You will ensure that all project deliverables are accurately documented, auditable, and readily accessible for operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain sophisticated documentation lifecycle software to track, organize, and audit project deliverables.
• Define and enforce standardized file formats, metadata protocols, and operational readiness procedures.
• Conduct technical audits of contractor and supplier documentation to verify compliance with contractual and technical specifications.
• Author and refine Documents for Operations (DFO) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for clear, actionable engineering data.
• Coordinate handover of project assets between engineering delivery teams and onsite operational personnel.
• Identify documentation gaps early and lead proactive resolutions across cross‑functional departments.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in project documentation management or document control within capital‑intensive or heavy‑industrial environments.
• Proven ability to manage interfaces between engineering teams and operational stakeholders during commissioning and maintenance phases.
• Strong analytical capability to translate complex technical data into concise operational documentation.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for negotiating and coordinating with internal teams, external contractors, and operations staff.
