Project Director - Digital Advancement for Women Now, Nigeria

About the role

Prosper Global is recruiting a Project Director for Digital Advancement for Women Now (DAWN), a four-year project in Nigeria pending funding approval from the Mastercard Foundation and implemented within the Jobtech Alliance. The role leads the implementation of DAWN in Nigeria, which aims to get 132,000 financially disadvantaged young people into work on digital platforms over four years (at least 70% young women, 5% refugees and displaced people and 5% persons with disabilities), starting with a one-year Learning Pilot. The Project Director owns the relationship with the Mastercard Foundation and reports to the Jobtech Alliance Program Director.

Key responsibilities

• Donor management (about 50% of the role): act as the single accountable point of contact for the DAWN programme, run the governance cadence and prepare for Foundation-facing forums such as the kick-off workshop, monthly check-ins, the Project Management Team, the Strategic Advisory Committee and the annual learning convening.
• Own reporting quality and timeliness: submit all contractual reports (inception, semi-annual and annual narrative and financial reports, quarterly updates, Learning Pilot evaluation) and coordinate inputs from Finance, MEL and partners.
• Manage approvals and change: maintain a register of actions requiring the Foundation's prior written approval and prepare well-evidenced requests.
• Handle monitoring, audit and information requests, and lead field visits with the Foundation as required.
• Lead the Foundation conversation on pilot results and shape evidence-based proposals for refinements to the design, budget or scale-up strategy.
• Escalate safeguarding concerns, suspected fraud or misuse of funds immediately.
• Project, budget and implementation management (about 35% of the role): deliver against the approved workplan, budget and targets, advise on local adaptations and work with the Inclusivity team and the line-managed Senior Project Manager.
