Program Manager - Grants, Fundraising & Partnerships

About the role

A non-governmental organization represented by its client is seeking an experienced Program Manager in Lagos. Reporting to the Executive Director, the role leads the Grants & Partnerships team and supports the Foundation's Education, Health and Shelter initiatives. It covers fundraising strategy, grant management, donor relations, stakeholder partnerships, monitoring and evaluation, and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an annual fundraising strategy with quarterly and monthly milestones, and pursue new funding from local and international donors
• Lead grant writing and the full grant lifecycle, from proposals and negotiations to reporting, compliance and close-out
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with corporates, government agencies, foundations and international partners, and plan donor events and partnership forums
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual reports on grants, fundraising and program impact, and work with the Monitoring & Evaluation team on impact assessments
• Provide leadership to the Grants & Partnerships team, coach and mentor staff, interns and volunteers, and manage recruitment and onboarding
• Plan departmental budgets and monitor expenditures against approved budgets and donor requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, Development Studies, International Relations or a related field; a Master's is an added advantage
• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in fundraising, grants management, partnerships, client services or program management in the nonprofit, development or social impact sector
• Proven track record of securing grants and managing donor-funded projects
• Professional certifications in Project Management, Grant Management, Fundraising or Monitoring & Evaluation are desirable
