Production Manager

About the role

StyledByLayo is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily garment production in its Lagos studio. You will coordinate the flow from cutting to final inspection, ensuring timely delivery of bespoke fashion pieces.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily production activities, allocating dresses to tailors and beaders based on skill, workload and deadlines.
• Monitor progress of each garment through cutting, sewing, embellishment, fitting, alterations and final inspection, updating the Production/Allocation Board.
• Supervise tailors, beaders, production assistants and interns, conducting daily briefings and addressing performance issues.
• Attend client fittings, record feedback and alterations, and ensure timely completion of adjustments.
• Manage inventory of fabrics, beads, trims and other materials, raising procurement requests and verifying quality.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in fashion production or garment manufacturing, preferably managing a production team.
• Relevant qualification in Fashion Design, Production or Garment Technology is an advantage.
• Proven ability to handle multiple bespoke orders from start to finish.
• Strong attention to detail, quality control and record‑keeping skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
