Product Manager – Physical Channels (POS & Payments)

About the role

The Product Manager (Physical Channels) owns the vision, roadmap, feature execution and lifecycle of Smart POS terminals, payment applications and in‑person acceptance solutions across Android, Linux and Mini POS hardware. You will bridge business requirements, merchant needs and engineering execution to ensure feature parity, introduce value‑added services and scale processing volumes for strategic merchant portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the product roadmap for physical‑channel applications across Android, Linux and traditional POS devices, synthesising customer feedback and market dynamics.
• Enforce strict feature parity between legacy and new app builds, partner with QA to prevent regressions and ensure essential functionalities are fully tested.
• Manage product certifications, firmware and app deployments, Remote Key Injection, Terminal Management System updates and OTA push strategies for hardware partners.
• Coordinate pilot launches and mass deployments with Sales, Operations and Customer Success, and define commercial pricing rule engines.
• Track transaction success rates, app stability and terminal utilisation, analysing metrics to optimise yield and reduce churn.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of product management experience in payments, fintech or POS/terminal hardware environments.
• Proven track record defining and executing roadmaps for hardware‑integrated software products.
• Experience managing feature parity, QA gatekeeping and release processes for merchant‑facing applications.
• Hands‑on experience with terminal lifecycle management, certifications, firmware deployment, RKI and OTA updates.
• Working knowledge of card scheme, switching network and PCI‑PTS compliance requirements.
• Ability to partner with Engineering, QA, MIS and Commercial teams to translate business needs into shipped features.
