Backend Engineer (C#)

Flutterwave is seeking a Backend Engineer specialized in C# to join its growing engineering team. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining backend services for the company’s product applications across Africa and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend components using C# and the .NET framework.
• Create responsive web applications and user interfaces for product applications.
• Collaborate with front‑end teams and integrate with APIs and other backend systems.
• Ensure data privacy compliance and protect personal information according to global best practices.
• Deliver quick updates and enhancements to improve application performance and usability.
• Participate in code reviews and use Git for version control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software development.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and high pressure.
• Flexible, proactive and data‑driven mindset.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficient in C# and the .NET framework.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented design and functional analysis.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and performance optimization.
