Plant / Process Operator II

About the role

The Plant / Process Operator II will support the Control Room Technician and Operations Supervisor in the safe, efficient operation of plant facilities. This role involves monitoring equipment, maintaining process quality, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor plant equipment, perform routine inspections, and adjust processes to meet product specifications.
• Maintain accurate operational logs, shift handover reports, and equipment status records.
• Interpret P&IDs, Process Flow Diagrams, Utility Flow Diagrams, and shutdown logic diagrams to support safe operations.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) and Operational Integrity requirements, and participate in emergency response drills.
• Endorse work permits, act as Isolating Authority, and verify equipment isolation before maintenance work.
• Support plant start‑up, commissioning, and minor maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with Maintenance teams to execute planned work and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Promote teamwork, high housekeeping standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 72 months of relevant experience in plant or process operations.
• Senior‑level competency with a strong focus on safety and operational integrity.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and work permits.
