Pharmacist – Community & Hospital Support

About the role

Alpha Pharmacy is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Pharmacist to join its Abuja team. You will be responsible for dispensing prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, ensuring medication safety, and providing expert counseling to patients in a busy community and hospital‑support environment.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescription and OTC medicines accurately and efficiently.
• Review prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, accuracy, and potential drug interactions.
• Counsel patients on safe and effective medication use.
• Maintain documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including cold‑chain products, to prevent stockouts.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for timely replenishment.
• Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality‑improvement activities.
• Deliver respectful, gender‑neutral customer service.

Required profile

• Licensed Pharmacist with a B.Pharm or Pharm.D degree.
• Strong community pharmacy experience, including prescription review and patient counseling.
• Ability to manage inventory and ensure proper storage conditions, especially for temperature‑sensitive products.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Effective collaboration with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff.
• Prior experience in a similar pharmacy setting in Nigeria is preferred.
