Country Representative – Lead PSI Nigeria

About the role

PSI is seeking an experienced and visionary Country Representative to steer PSI Nigeria’s next phase of impact. Based in Abuja, you will be the senior face of the organization, aligning its work with national health priorities and PSI’s global strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic vision for PSI Nigeria, ensuring alignment with both global mission and Nigeria’s health agenda.
• Identify, cultivate, and secure funding from bilateral, multilateral, philanthropic, private‑sector and UN sources.
• Lead the preparation of high‑quality proposals and manage donor relationships to diversify and sustain the funding portfolio.
• Represent PSI with government officials, donors, private partners and implementing agencies, positioning the organization as a preferred collaborator.
• Oversee program delivery, technical stewardship and people management across all country operations.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in international development, health, or a related sector.
• Deep understanding of the donor landscape in Nigeria and a track record of successful resource mobilization.
• Strong ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and build strategic alliances.
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills, with fluency in English.
