Performance Management Officer

About the role

The Officer, Performance Management will drive workforce excellence and organisational effectiveness across a network of healthcare facilities, designing and monitoring performance systems that align with strategic goals and enhance staff productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement performance management frameworks, including goal‑setting, appraisals and feedback mechanisms.
• Partner with department heads and HR leadership to identify performance gaps, recommend training and create improvement action plans.
• Monitor and analyse performance data, preparing regular reports to support strategic HR decisions.
• Ensure all performance management processes comply with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Facilitate communication and training sessions to promote a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in performance management, HR operations or a related field, preferably in healthcare or large public‑sector organisations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related discipline.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM‑CP) is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, performance management methodologies and relevant labour laws.
• Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Residency in Imo State or willingness to relocate.
