About the role
The People & Culture Business Partner will work closely with senior leadership and line managers to translate business priorities into effective people and organisational solutions. This role is responsible for driving HR initiatives that enhance employee experience, performance, and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to understand priorities and design practical HR solutions.
- Support workforce planning, manpower forecasting, role design and organisational structure reviews.
- Lead recruitment and selection processes, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
- Strengthen onboarding and integration to improve employee experience and speed to productivity.
- Own the performance‑management cycle, setting objectives, providing feedback and ensuring accountability.
- Coach managers on performance conversations, employee development and team effectiveness.
- Manage employee‑relations matters including grievances, disciplinary cases and attendance issues.
- Identify capability gaps and coordinate learning, development and succession interventions.
- Develop and implement initiatives to boost engagement, communication, collaboration and culture.
- Monitor employee experience throughout the lifecycle and recommend improvements.
- Ensure HR processes comply with Nigerian employment and statutory requirements.
- Track people metrics, analyse trends and provide actionable workforce insights.
- Support organisational change and recommend interventions for structural or leadership challenges.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Management or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience with generalist or business‑partner responsibilities.
- Professional HR qualifications such as CIPM, CIPD, HRCI or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience in performance management, recruitment, employee relations and workforce planning.
