About the role
Soteria Eye Clinic is hiring an Optometrist in Lagos. The role covers routine eye examinations, diagnosis of common sight problems and prescribing corrective lenses and medications.
Key responsibilities
- Perform thorough routine eye inspections and identify the patient's visual acuity, field of vision and hand-eye coordination.
- Diagnose sight problems such as nearsightedness and colour blindness, and identify and assess eye defects and diseases.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and medications, and record all diagnoses and treatment plans, including transfers and therapeutic prescriptions.
- Maintain accurate medical files for all patients and promote eye health by teaching patients proper eye care techniques.
Required profile
- Minimum of 2 years' experience after NYSC in Optometry from reputable eye clinics.
- Valid practicing license.
- Records of proven competence.
Required skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) for work, reports and presentations.
