Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex EPIC oil and gas projects across Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers State region. This senior position ensures seamless field operations, asset integrity, and compliance with Nigerian regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct multidisciplinary teams in executing EPIC projects and coordinate field servicing across all active sites.
• Oversee predictive maintenance programs, equipment overhauls, and standardize inspection procedures.
• Drive a Zero Harm safety culture, maintain risk registers, and enforce ISO, API, ASME, NUPRC, and NMDPRA compliance.
• Implement Nigerian Content guidelines, maximize local hiring and procurement, and manage community relations in the Niger Delta.
• Manage annual CAPEX and OPEX budgets, track KPIs, and optimize operating costs.
• Serve as liaison for IOCs, independents, and subcontractors, aligning service delivery with client specifications.
• Lead field teams through performance management, inductions, reviews, and training programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• 5–12 years of oil and gas servicing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior supervisory role.
• Active COREN registration preferred; professional memberships such as NSE, SPE, or PMP advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience with project management tools.
• Strong understanding of process automation and Niger Delta terrain dynamics.
