Offensive Security Practitioner (Pentera)

About the role

A client of eRecruiter, a data security and connectivity company serving African businesses, is looking for a highly skilled offensive security practitioner in Lagos. The role engages prospective and current clients, delivers presentations and demonstrations, and gives expert insight into the company's products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate deep knowledge of the Pentera platform across customers' networks
• Lead technical deep-dive sessions with cybersecurity experts and guide them toward better procedures and remediation decisions
• Maintain customer loyalty and act as a product expert focused on customer education
• Identify service expansion opportunities to drive increased revenue
• Accept a changing work description suited to a fast-starting start-up

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands-on cyber security experience
• 2+ years working with Linux (Ubuntu preferred)
• Penetration testing certifications
• Experience in sales engineering and customer-facing roles
• Willingness to travel periodically based on customer and business needs

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of network security
• Troubleshooting, monitoring and managing TCP/IP networks
• Background in cyber security practices
• Great interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills
