Night Duty Manager

About the role

Ellasot Consulting is hiring a Night Duty Manager in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, within the hospitality and hotel sector. The post covers supervising night-shift operations, ensuring guest and staff safety, and reporting to management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all night-shift operations for smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Monitor staff attendance, performance and compliance with company policies.
• Attend to guest or customer complaints, inquiries and requests professionally.
• Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, facilities and company property.
• Conduct routine inspections of the premises for cleanliness, orderliness and proper maintenance.
• Identify operational issues and take prompt corrective action; maintain accurate records of incidents, shift activities and reports.
• Coordinate with security, maintenance, housekeeping, front desk and other departments.
• Handle emergencies appropriately and escalate serious issues to management.
• Ensure proper handover of duties and outstanding issues to the incoming shift.
• Monitor compliance with health, safety and operational standards, and prepare daily night-shift reports.

Required profile

• Minimum of an OND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in hospitality, facility management or operations supervision.
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.

Required skills

• Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good knowledge of security procedures, emergency response and operational standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant management systems is an advantage.
