NDT Technician

About the role

The NDT Technician will carry out non‑destructive testing on equipment, materials and components to ensure integrity and performance. This position supports asset reliability within the energy and utilities sector, working closely with engineering and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform NDT inspections using approved methods to detect cracks, corrosion, weld flaws and other discontinuities.
• Document test results, findings and recommendations in accurate inspection reports.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards, quality requirements and safety regulations during all inspections.
• Calibrate and maintain NDT equipment to guarantee accurate and functional testing instruments.
• Provide inspection data to aid maintenance, repair and reliability decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to communicate findings and suggest corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in non‑destructive testing.
• Familiarity with NDT inspection methods and relevant industry standards.
• Ability to interpret inspection results and produce technical reports.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Relevant NDT certifications are an advantage.
