Managing Director – Mining & Energy

About the role

Bridgemead Advisory is seeking a visionary Managing Director to lead its mining subsidiary. You will be responsible for shaping strategy, driving operational excellence and delivering profitable growth across the full mining value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic and operational plans aligned with Group objectives.
• Oversee end‑to‑end mining operations including exploration, extraction, processing, logistics and commercial activities.
• Identify and secure new mining concessions, partnerships and expansion opportunities.
• Take full accountability for financial performance, budgeting, capital projects and profitability.
• Lead commercial negotiations for mineral sales, offtake agreements, joint ventures and strategic investments.
• Ensure compliance with mining regulations, environmental standards, HSE requirements and corporate governance.
• Build and lead high‑performing multidisciplinary teams while fostering a strong safety culture.
• Maintain relationships with regulators, host communities, government agencies, investors and other key stakeholders.
• Report performance, initiatives and risks to Group Executive Management and the Board.

Required profile

• MBA or Master’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, Earth Sciences or related field.
• Professional membership with COMEG, AusIMM, SAIMM or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Minimum 15 years of mining industry experience, including 5–7 years in a senior executive leadership role.
• Proven track record in P&L management, capital project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian mining regulations and licensing processes.
• Experience with lithium, dolomite, limestone or other industrial/battery minerals is preferred.
