Management Accountant

About the role

Nigeria Distilleries Limited is looking for a skilled Management Accountant to support managerial planning and commercial decision-making by providing financial information and handling related accounts administration. The post-holder is accountable for preparing, developing and applying findings from financial reports, maintaining financial policies and management information systems in the factories, and keeping management informed on all aspects of company finance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial information to support profitability and growth, and provide accurate management reporting for key decisions
• Prepare statutory and management accounts, and produce financial statements including P&L, cash flow, variance analysis and commentaries
• Contribute to annual budgeting and planning, manage capital expenditure and assess monthly expenses
• Calculate, present and pay statutory obligations, and review company assets and liabilities
• Produce commercial analysis such as margins and pricing, and prepare cash-flow forecasts
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and lead, manage and motivate a team
• Review accounting processes and practices, and produce monthly reconciliations for all accounts

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
• 8+ years of sales experience in the FMCG/drinks business and 4+ years in a significant leadership role
• Extensive experience in multi-plant manufacturing
• Change management, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
