Maintenance Officer – Facility & Power Systems

About the role

The Maintenance Officer will ensure the continuous functionality and safety of Pullus Africa’s facility infrastructure, equipment, and power systems. This hands‑on role requires strong practical knowledge of electrical, mechanical and solar systems to keep operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspection, servicing and maintenance of equipment, electrical systems, solar installations, generators, cold rooms and other infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and technical faults, applying corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Detect early signs of wear and recommend repairs or replacements before breakdowns occur.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on generators, inverters, wiring, plumbing and facility equipment.
• Monitor performance and efficiency of power systems to ensure reliable daily operations.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures, power issues and maintenance emergencies.
• Coordinate and supervise external technicians or contractors for specialised tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service schedules and equipment history.
• Conduct regular safety checks and ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety standards.
• Support implementation of preventive maintenance schedules and operational improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma, OND, HND or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ hands‑on experience in facility or industrial maintenance, electrical systems or related technical operations.
