Electrical Technician

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to install, maintain and repair electrical systems across multiple industrial sites in Nigeria. You will work on a variety of equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation while supporting a team of engineers and technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and diagrams.
• Install and maintain electrical control systems for machinery.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers, mechanics and other tradespeople.
• Provide training and guidance to apprentices and junior electricians.
• Maintain accurate records and inventory of electrical supplies.

Required profile

• Minimum Trade Test Certificate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience with industrial electrical systems.
• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Licensing and certification as an electrician.
• Experience working in factories, plants or warehouses.
• Physical ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.

Required skills

• Electrical systems maintenance and repair.
• Preventative maintenance procedures.
• Troubleshooting electrical faults.
• Reading electrical schematics, blueprints and diagrams.
• Electrical control systems for industrial machinery.
• PLC programming and control systems (plus).
• Safe use of hand and power tools.
