About the role
The Machinery Engineer will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of both light and heavy machineries through testing, maintenance and detailed record‑keeping.
Key responsibilities
- Run diagnostic tests on machineries and analyse the results.
- Troubleshoot engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
- Check electrical and lighting systems and perform test runs to gauge performance.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on service light and heavy machineries.
- Maintain detailed service records, parts inventory and adhere to inspection checklists.
Required profile
- HND / BSc in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication and leadership abilities.
- Excellent time‑management, organisational skills and knowledge of safety procedures.
Required skills
- Diagnostic testing of industrial equipment.
- Engine and transmission troubleshooting.
- Electrical and lighting system inspection.
- Preventative maintenance procedures.
