Technical Sales Engineer – Industrial Forklift

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer / Specialist to lead business development, promotion and sales of industrial forklifts and related heavy equipment across Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt. The role combines deep engineering knowledge with strong sales acumen to meet aggressive regional targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, pursue and close new sales opportunities for industrial forklifts and machinery in manufacturing and warehousing sectors.
• Deliver technical presentations, equipment demonstrations and ROI consultations to prospective clients.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with plant managers, procurement leads and key decision‑makers.
• Prepare tailored technical proposals, tenders and quotations based on client operational requirements.
• Coordinate with after‑sales, maintenance and logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery, commissioning and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Automobile Engineering.
• 6–8 years of proven technical sales experience in manufacturing or industrial equipment.
• Hands‑on experience selling industrial forklifts is a major advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and equipment specifications.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
