Junior Legal Officer – Corporate & Media Law

About the role

KOKO Group is seeking a motivated Junior Legal Officer to support its digital operations across media, technology, PR, and fashion. The role blends corporate, commercial, and regulatory law with a focus on Nigeria and international jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial, licensing and media contracts.
• Provide regulatory and compliance advice for Nigerian and international media and entertainment laws.
• Review marketing promotions, advertisements and advise on related legal risks.
• Respond to client, partner and agency legal queries and handle customer complaints.
• Assist in dispute resolution, litigation support and external dispute processes.
• Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks, proposing creative solutions.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects and business development initiatives.

Required profile

• LL.B and BL (Barrister of Law); LLM is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years post‑call experience, preferably with both law‑firm and in‑house exposure.
• Experience in corporate commercial law, contract drafting, regulatory advisory, litigation and company secretarial functions.
• Membership or progress in the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, strategic and commercial thinking abilities.
