Junior Engineer (MEP)

About the role

An engineering and technical services company, which executes construction projects and provides Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, is looking for a Junior Engineer (MEP) in Lagos. The role supports the engineering and project teams with technical documentation, site monitoring and project coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior and project engineers with day-to-day MEP engineering tasks.
• Help prepare and organize technical documents, drawings and project records.
• Monitor daily site activities and track project progress.
• Help monitor material deliveries, site resources and work schedules under supervision.
• Take part in site inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Support coordination with subcontractors and site teams.
• Report technical observations, site issues and discrepancies to supervising engineers.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) requirements and keep accurate engineering records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• At least one year of relevant experience in MEP projects or a construction environment; an internship or graduate training experience is also considered.
• Good communication, organization and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions and work well in a team.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing or fire protection systems.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
