IT Security Analyst – Cybersecurity Monitoring & Response

About the role

The IT Security Analyst will protect the organization’s systems and data by continuously monitoring for threats, detecting incidents, and coordinating rapid response actions. This role works closely with IT and compliance teams to ensure a resilient security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS tools.
• Detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities.
• Review system and network logs for suspicious activity.
• Implement and maintain security controls and best‑practice configurations.
• Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls.
