IT and Digital Infrastructure Officer

About the role

The IT and Digital Infrastructure Officer will manage Eridan City's digital presence and internal IT environment, ensuring reliable performance, security, and continuous improvement of technology services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update group websites, digital platforms, domains and hosting services, including performance monitoring, security, backups and basic SEO.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of computers, printers, routers, networks and other IT equipment, while keeping asset inventories up‑to‑date.
• Install, configure and update software, operating systems and business applications; manage user accounts, email settings, access permissions and software licences.
• Provide technical support to staff, set up new employee workstations, and support virtual meetings and training sessions.
• Implement cybersecurity measures, manage data backups, and report any security vulnerabilities or potential data breaches.
• Coordinate with ISPs, website developers and technology vendors, tracking maintenance schedules, warranties and IT‑related expenditures.
• Assess IT needs, research cost‑effective technology solutions and prepare periodic reports on infrastructure, incidents and maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in IT support, website management, systems administration or infrastructure maintenance.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ or CCNA are a plus.
