Data Engineer

About the role

Reliance Health is seeking a Data Engineer to build a robust data platform that supports core business use cases, enabling scalable pipelines, multi‑source ingestion, and seamless ML model orchestration.

Key responsibilities

• Build robust pipelines to ingest data from a variety of sources.
• Continuously improve and maintain ETL/ELT processes, delivering well‑defined, highly usable tables.
• Ensure code quality across data teams and perform optimizations to control processing costs.
• Develop orchestration, version control, and lineage systems to identify bottlenecks and support a robust CI/CD process.
• Translate non‑technical requirements into actionable tasks and collaborate with engineers on data usage best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Minimum 3 years of proven data engineering experience post‑NYSC.
• Strong SQL skills with experience querying large datasets.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure and access management.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
