Full‑Stack Engineer (Backend‑Focused)

About the role

Yodo Pay is preparing its beta launch and needs a hands‑on Full‑Stack Engineer with strong backend expertise. You will take technical ownership of the existing application, work directly with the founder, and help bring the product to market.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the backend and application infrastructure, including Node.js/Express and MongoDB.
• Debug and resolve issues across APIs, React Native app, and Linux server environments.
• Stabilise the MVP for beta launch and manage deployments and production troubleshooting.
• Develop, optimise, and document APIs and third‑party financial integrations.
• Work on wallet operations, transaction processing, payment integrations and webhooks.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Node.js, Express.js and MongoDB.
• Practical knowledge of React Native, React/Next.js and REST APIs.
• Ability to maintain, debug and improve existing production applications independently.
• Familiarity with Git, server administration, deployments and debugging.
• Must reside in Abuja and be available for regular in‑person collaboration.
