Inventory Officer

About the role

The Inventory Officer will manage the flow of stock at our depot, ensuring accurate receipt, recording, and issuance of products. You will work closely with finance, security and loading teams to maintain precise inventory records and support loss‑prevention initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Verify waybills, invoices and quantities on receipt and book stock into the inventory system immediately.
• Support the finance team by ensuring loading only occurs after payment or credit approval and reconcile loading reports with sales/AR reports.
• Assist with full physical inventory counts and prepare daily stock position reports (Opening + Receipts – Sales – Losses = Closing).
• Investigate stock variances caused by pilferage, meter error, temperature, evaporation, etc., and track slow‑moving products.
• Prepare stock and loading reports for internal audit and regulatory inspections.
• Collaborate with security, loading supervisors, depot representatives and account officers to prevent theft or diversion.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• A degree in a related field.
