Insurance Sales Advisor

About the role

Heirs Insurance Group, a family of insurance companies including Heirs General, Heirs Life and Heirs Insurance Brokers, is hiring a full-time hybrid Insurance Sales Advisor based in Lagos. The role combines on-site and work-from-home duties and centres on identifying prospects, assessing their insurance needs and recommending suitable products.

Key responsibilities

• Identify prospects, assess their insurance needs and recommend products from the group's lines.
• Conduct consultations, prepare quotations and explain policy features and benefits.
• Guide clients through the application and onboarding process.
• Maintain regular contact with clients, handle inquiries and support claims processes.
• Meet sales targets and maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimise service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in consulting or advisory roles, with a consultative approach to client engagement.
• Proven customer service skills, with responsiveness, empathy and problem resolution.
• Sales or business development experience in insurance or financial services is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and meet performance targets in a hybrid setting.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of insurance products and services, matched to client needs.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of finance principles relevant to insurance, premiums and risk assessment.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Comfort with digital tools, CRM software and remote collaboration platforms.
